OVERALL The Icelandic Sheepdog female has a rather large black nose. Her eyes are medium in size and a dark brown color. Her head is arched with a rather compact muzzle. She has sturdy forelegs and double dewclaws which are similar to those of a Lundehund. The Icelandic Sheepdog fae is a Nordic herding spitz, slightly under medium sized with pricked ears and a curled tail. Her expression is gentle, intelligent and happy. The fae has a confident and lively bearing that is typical for her breed. She has the short variation of her coat length, and it’s very thick and waterproof. She weighs in at 25 pounds, and stands at 14 inches at the shoulder.

TRAITS Tough and Hardy. Sitka is very tough, hardy. It takes a lot to knock this girl down, and she certainly isn’t going down without a fight. Giving up simply isn’t an option, at least, not for some time. She hates the idea of giving up, and her tough girl attitude often gets her into trouble. Being tough means she can give as much as she takes, if not more. There’s no gain, no pain.
Energetic. Siti is very much an on the move kind of dog. Despite having so much energy, she’s often happy to just sun herself, relax, and just watch the clouds. She’s never really in a hurry, and as such, it often shows. Her energy does come in handy when she wants it, and otherwise it just tends to stockpile, waiting for a time when it’s needed.
Agile. The fae is quite agile, being quite capable of literally turning on a dime, but she doesn’t often advertise this, since she’s rather on the slight side size wise, and has no real large amount of strength, it’s sort of her secret weapon. She doesn’t like showing off, and as such, many others don’t know much about her in this case.
Very Alert. Sitka likes to be aware of her surroundings. Not so much because she’s paranoid, but because it’s more of an instinct, to just be at least on partial alert if not more at all times. She doesn’t strain herself to keep on the watch, but she isn’t easily caught off guard either.
Cheerful, and Friendly. Siti is cheerful, and friendly, once you get past the sarcasm. She’s a great friend to have, and will happily stick up for any of those she considers friends. She’s not one to go around getting in other dogs’ personal space and instigate conversation, but if they’re alone, or look as if they need a good talk, she’ll approach.
Inquisitive, Playful and Unafraid. The Icelandic Sheepdog female is very curious, and often sticks her nose into things she shouldn’t be. She’s also playful, though doesn’t play all the time, she knows the benefits of a good romp or two now and then. Siti is very unafraid, and that too has gotten her into trouble. She isn’t afraid to talk back, and very rarely does she ever show signs of fear. Most call her stupid, but she doesn’t see it as such. To Sitka, fear is the equivalent of hiding in a corner, never coming out. Well, consider her out of her corner, and among the others. Now, this doesn’t mean she isn’t afraid of anything, no, she is. Fleas for example, or ticks, or any other creepy crawlies, but she tends to shift her fear into anger and always takes it out on the insects.
Spicy, Stubborn and Sarcastic. Sitka is spicy, with a rather hot temper, and a tendency to speak her mind, not to mention a tendency to talk back. She is very sarcastic, and as such, over half the things from her mouth is sarcasm, or some form of it, with varying potency. But if she doesn’t like you, the sarcasm is thick enough to cut through with a butter knife, and she’ll let you know so.

STORY Sitka was born to two former show dogs, both pure of blood, and both living on their own in the wild. Since the disease had started spreading, and the humans had begun culling, her parents had taken her away, escaping into the wilderness, to better keep her and her siblings safe. She grew up alone with her family, not really interacting with other dogs, and soon enough the news of the spreading of the disease reached them. Her brother being the stubborn, bullheaded male he was, thought that he could go out and learn more, instead of just hearing whispers and rumors. He didn't return. Siti and her family had no way of knowing if he lived or died, but either way, he didn't return to them. Her parents grew more strict, never letting their remaining children out of their sights, and as such, Sitka longed for freedom, a chance to survive on her own, live a little. It was a typical, teenage reaction as far as her mother was concerned. Siti's sister, however, didn't grow out of such things, and she eventually found another male who, unbeknownst to either of them, was a carrier. But that didn't make any difference as they had pups, and moved away. Sitka's mother became distraught, having lost two of her three children. To make things worse, her father caught the disease, and out of worry for his family's health, left them, to keep them alive a while longer. Despite her father's efforts, and theirs, Sitka's mother caught the disease, and forced her to leave her behind, move on to a different place, so she did, reluctantly.
